PPR train damaged 1016

P-R PHOTO/JACK LADUKE Locomotive technician John Norton of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad checks out the damage done when electrical wiring was cut in a locomotive while at the Lake Placid Train station last week. The railroad has canceled two sold-out Halloween train trips that had been set for Oct. 26 and 27, though the costume parties planned at the Saranac Lake Train Depot will be held anyhow. Lake Placid Police are investigating the crime.
