PHOTO PROVIDED North Country Mission of Hope volunteers unload supplies for the Serviam Sisters who live in the severest poverty in Granada, Nicaragua, during a trip there in January. The little girl is Alandra, a destitute child who has made herself the daily shadow of the nuns. This week, missioners will give further assistance to the nuns, who are trying to renovate an abandoned building into a home for themselves. Plattsburgh-based Mission of Hope will have a total 53 volunteers performing numerous projects this week in Nicaragua.
