FIRE

BEEKMANTOWN — A motor-home fire was reported by State Police Wednesday.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on I-87 at the time of the incident, Plattsburgh-based State Police said.

The fire was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The police report was incomplete and no further information was available.

FELONY ARRESTS

CHATEAUGAY — A Chateaugay man was arrested Jan. 29 in connection with an alleged domestic dispute.

Adam A. Gauthier, 25, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief of property valued at more than $250, a felony; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor; and second-degree harassment with physical contact, a violation.

Gauthier was arraigned in Chateaugay Town Court and sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond, Malone-based State Police said.

The police report was not complete Wednesday and no further information was available.

MALONE — A New York City woman was arrested Jan. 26 for allegedly bringing drugs into a prison.

Shaquanna U. Moultrie, 20, was found to have passed a quantity of marijuana, suboxone tablets and methamphetamine to an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility in Malone while she was visiting the inmate, Malone-based State Police said.

Moultrie was charged with first-degree introduction of dangerous contraband into a prison, a felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, specifically a narcotic drug with intent to sell, a felony; second-degree introduction of contraband into a prison, a misdemeanor; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Moultrie was arraigned Jan. 29 in Malone Town Court and sent to Franklin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.

The Inspector General’s Office of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision continues to investigate the incident, police said.

BURKE — An Albany man was charged with forgery and petit larceny Jan. 11 for allegedly cashing forged checks.

On Jan. 8, Joseph S. Linsley, 35, allegedly took a check from a person with whom he was staying in the Town of Burke, forged it, making it out for $300, and cashed it at Key Bank in Chateaugay, Malone-based State Police said.

Linsley was charged with second-degree forgery, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle helmet from the residence in which he was staying, police said.

For the forgery charge, Linsley was released to the supervision of the New York State Probation Department and ordered to appear in the Chateaugay Town Court on Jan. 14, police said

For the petit larceny charge, Linsley was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Burke Town Court at a later date, police said.

MALONE — An Albany woman was arrested Dec. 22 for allegedly bringing drugs into a prison.

Tiffany C. Richichi, 22, was visiting an inmate at Bare Hill Correctional Facility on the morning of Dec. 22 when she was found to have brought marijuana and an alprazolam pill into the prison, Malone-based State Police said.

Richichi was charged with first-degree introduction of dangerous contraband into a prison, a felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony; second-degree introduction of contraband into a prison, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Richichi was arraigned in Bangor Town Court and released under the supervision of the New York State Department of Probation in Albany County, police said.

She was scheduled to appear in Malone Town Court Jan. 15.

The Inspector General’s Office of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision conducted the investigation, police said.
