P-R PHOTO/JULIE ROBINSON ROBARDS This Japanese porcelain tea cup features the lithophane image of a geisha girl in the bottom. The image was made by molding very thin, translucent porcelain into a three-dimensional image that becomes visible when back-lit. The tea cup is part of a luncheon set for six that includes a tea pot, sugar and creamer, plates, cups and saucers. The set is fashioned of fine white kaolin porcelain and skillfully hand-decorated in gold. The scenery depicts a tranquil village setting in the shadow of Mount Fuji. It is Donna Santiago's best auction buy at only $15 for the entire set of 21 pieces.
