‘Food from the Farm’ event coming up

PLATTSBURGH — The public is invited to the third-annual “Food from the Farm” event from 2 to 5 p.m. March 2 at the Plattsburgh City Gym. 

Attendees will meet local farmers, sample dishes featuring locally grown or produced food, pick up recipes and gardening tips, and support the local-food

movement.

Dishes including meats, stews, salads, cheese, desserts and more will be prepared by chef David Allen of Latitude 44 Bistro in Plattsburgh.

Admission is $10 per adult, $5 ages 5 to 12 and under 5 are free; the maximum cost per family is $30. Tickets are available in advance on the Cornell Cooperative Extension website, at the office or at the door.
