ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown Community Hospital Auxiliary is offering an organ-donor information session from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the hospital boardroom put on by the regional chapter of the Center for Donation & Transplant with information about organ donation, its benefits and how to become a donor.

5K to benefit Hospice of the North Country
MALONE — The ninth-annual 5K run/walk to benefit Hospice of the North Country, sponsored by In Motion Physical Therapy, is set for Saturday at 14906 Route 30 in Malone, with registration at 9:30 a.m. and the 3-mile run/walk at 10 a.m.

Program teaches youth about exercise, nutrition
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Youth Bureau and Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department is co-hosting a new four-week program called Hearty Kids that uses the OrganWiseGuys to teach kids ages 8 through 12 how their body works and how to keep their organs in tip-top shape. Other activities include a healthy snack and fun games.
The program, with healthy snacks and games, too, is 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 9 through 30, at the Treadwill Mills Recreation Park Building.

Annual Heart Walk set for Saturday
PLATTSBURGH — This year’s Plattsburgh Heart Walk is at 10 a.m. Saturday on the U.S. Oval.
Registration for the 1- or 3-mile walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The American Heart Association event features free healthy food, health screenings, a kids’ zone and more.
