Inter-Lakes CFO leaving

TICONDEROGA — Inter-Lakes Health Chief Financial Officer Tristan Glanville has added his name to the list of those leaving the health-care provider.

Glanville announced Monday that he will resign his position to become chief financial officer at Adirondack Health, the parent company of Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

He and Inter-Lakes Chief Executive Officer William “Chip” Holmes are both leaving April 4. Holmes’s departure was announced Feb. 24. Glanville joined Inter-Lakes in 2012, Holmes in 2011.

The resignations of Glanville and Holmes follow announcements of severe financial distress at Inter-Lakes Health. Holmes said Inter-Lakes lost more than $3 million last year.

To cut costs, the provider laid off 13 workers on Thursday, Feb. 13, reduced another 10 to part-time from full-time and eliminated 10 jobs that were vacant.

401k MATCH SUSPENDED

Also on Monday, Inter-Lakes announced a temporary suspension of its matching contributions to the 401(k) retirement plans of 80 non-unionized staff members, effective April 13. Inter-Lakes Interim Chief Executive Officer Charles Miceli said the staff will still be able to contribute to the plans themselves.

“I want to emphasize that this a temporary measure that we must put in place until the organization is in a more favorable financial position and can afford to resume those contributions,” he said.

TRANSITION PLAN

Miceli praised Glanville for his efforts at Inter-Lakes Health.

“I want to thank Tristan for his leadership and service at Inter-Lakes,” he said in a news release. “He’s brought great experience to our ILH leadership team, and his contribution as consultant to our Expense Reduction Team is valued, and we wish him well in his new position.”

An agreement was recently signed by Inter-Lakes with Plattsburgh-based Community Providers Inc. to explore affiliation with that organization.

Community Providers is the parent company of CVPH Medical Center and Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH).
