New children’s books help update library’s collection

MOOERS — The Mooers Free Library recently received 53 children’s books valued at $905.26 from the Libri Foundation.

The Libri Foundation offers its Books for Children grants to rural libraries throughout the country. The books will help to update the library’s collection.

In addition to the library’s local sponsors, Friends of the Mooers Free Library and the Libri Foundation, “David Kornacker & Janet Harris” appear on the bookplates. The Libri Foundation received a generation donation from the couple, which was used to match the library’s locally raised funds of $300.

To learn about the new books, contact the director at 236-7744 or moorlib@primelink1.net.
