Tree House Project movie fundraiser today
PLATTSBURGH — The Max Moore Memorial Tree House Project will be hosting a movie fundraiser at 10 a m. today at Cumberland 12 Cinemas in Plattsburgh.
The Disney Pixar movie “Frozen” will be featured for the event. Tickets are $10 each; popcorn included. Five dollars from each ticket sale will be donated toward the construction of the universally accessible tree house, which will be located on the Saranac River Trail in Plattsburgh.

SARANAC LAKE — Suzanne Langelier-Lebeda, a member of the Adirondack Artists Guild, will have a book signing today for “Green Golly and Her Golden Flute,” a book she illustrated that introduces children to classical music.
The book signing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Artists Guild, 52 Main St., Saranac Lake.
Langelier-Lebeda will be accompanied by Barbara Briggs Ward, an award-winning author who will sign her new book, “The Snowman Maker.” Langelier-Lebeda illustrated the
cover for that book, and made 25 illustrations and did the cover picture for Briggs Ward’s earlier book, “The Reindeer Keeper,” published in 2011.
Everyone is welcome.
Saranac Lake Adult Center offers free entertainment
SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Adult Center will provide free entertainment from 11 a.m. to noon Mondays, Dec. 9, 16 and 23.
Michael Northrop will play Christmas carols on keyboard, accompanied by vocalist Tom Techman.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to stay for lunch.
Lunch reservations are needed by 9:30 a.m. for that day’s meal and can be made by calling 891-2980. Cost is $6 for those under 60 years old, with a suggested donation of $2 for those 60 and over.
