Susannah Risley will facilitate the workshop. In the first session, Risley will lead a discussion about writing a memoir and give examples of vivid language that makes experience come alive on the page. Participants will do a hands-on exercise to elicit memories and write what they have discovered. The next session will be a deeper exploration of writing.
The workshop is for anyone who has ever wanted to write for their own pleasure or to pass stories on as a family history. No experience is needed. The workshop is free and is funded by Poets & Writers Inc. For more information, call 236-7744 or email email@example.com. The library is at 2430 Route 11.
