Westport church to host dinner May 16
WESTPORT — The Westport Federated Church on Main Street is hosting a roast beef dinner on Thursday, May 16.
Serving starts at 4:30 p.m., with takeouts available. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Those attending are asked to assist the Westport Food Pantry by bringing a nonperishable food item to share in the food basket.
Mooers UMC hosting dinner for missionaries
MOOERS — The Mooers United Methodist Church at 12 East St. invites the community to share a supper at 5:30 p.m. May 10 in the church basement.
The program will be presented by Lisa and Karl DeLong, who spent time in February on a mission trip to the Philippines.

Entries soughtfor St. Mary’s Bazaar festivities on May 27
CHAMPLAIN — Entries are being accepted for the annual St. Mary’s Bazaar Parade, which is set for noon Sunday, May 27.
Organizations, businesses, groups or individuals who would like to participate are asked to call the parish office at 298-8244 as soon as possible.
Entries are also welcome for the “Princess Pageant” that will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, for girls ages 5 to 10. For information, call the parish office.
The Rev. Tony Kemp to minister at First Assembly
PLATTSBURGH — The Rev. Tony Kemp will minister at First Assembly of God, 164 Prospect Ave., at a number of services from Friday May 17, through Monday, May 20.
For 38 years, Kemp has preached the gospel of Jesus Christ in various denominations and independent churches. His teachings are rooted and grounded in the revelation of God’s unconditional, unchanging love for us. His ministry is in prophetic revelation, discipleship, leadership, church government, evangelism and dynamics of the Holy Spirit.
Meetings are as follows: at 6 p.m. Friday, May 17; at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18; at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19; and 6 p.m. Monday, May 20. During the 10 a.m. session on Saturday, Kemp will meet separately with the men, and Deborah Kemp and Lisa Smola will meet with the women.

Seton Catholic to present ‘Godspell JR.’
PLATTSBURGH — Seton Catholic Central Drama Club students will present their production of “Godspell JR.” May 17 through 19.
Based on “The Gospel According to St. Matthew,” the musical uses major episodes of the Bible — including the baptism of Jesus, the Last Supper, and Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion — to explore ideas such as compassion, love, forgiveness and sacrifice for the greater good.
Directed by Pam and Tom Lavin, the shows are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the cafetorium at Seton Catholic Central, 206 New York Road.

Church of Spiritualism to host psychic
MALONE — The North Country Church of Spiritualism will present the Rev. Belle Salisbury at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 19, at the Malone Grange Hall, 42 Raymond St.
Salisbury is an internationally recognized psychic medium and spiritual counselor. Her intention is to help others on their journey through spiritual education and enlightenment. She is the creator of Bellesprit Magazine and has a radio talk show on Hey Z radio.
The title of Sunday’s message is “Aligning with the New Energies.” She will do several spontaneous readings after her topic.
A covered-dish luncheon will follow the service, and a freewill offering will be taken.
