Mountain Ministries Conference set
INDIAN LAKE — Mountain Ministries Inc.'s 36th-annual Christian Conference starts Saturday at the American Legion Hall on Main Street (Routes 28 and 30) in Indian Lake.

Bible teaching will be by Annette Eckart, who with her husband, Ed, founded the Bridge for Peace healing ministry after her miraculous healing from crippling rheumatoid arthritis in 1988, a press release said. Bridge for Peace is an interdenominational ministry that carries healing to the nations through Jesus Christ, the release said.

Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, continuing at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 3. People of all faiths are invited to attend. Annette and Ed Eckart and the elders of the ministry will be available during the conference for prayer and counseling.

Gospel group to
sing at service

MOOERS — Joyful Noise, a Gospel singing group from the Malone area, will sing during the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at Mooers United Methodist Church.

They perform the southern Gospel genre and some light contemporary, according to a press release. All are invited and welcome to dress casually.

to Camp Can Do

WESTPORT — Westport Bible Church, Westport, will hold its Camp Can Do/Vacation Bible School Program Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 3, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The camp is for children in kindergarten through grade 9.

Fruchtenbaum to
speak at Baptist Church

CHAMPLAIN — Dr. Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum will be the speaker at Living Water Baptist Church on consecutive Sundays, beginning July 5 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. He is the director of Ariel Ministries, a Messianic Jewish organization composed of Jews and Gentiles who believe in the Messiahship of Jesus.

Fruchtenbaum was born in Siberia, Russia, after his parents were released from a Communist prison. He received Orthodox Jewish training while a young boy and came to New York with his family in 1951.

He received his training in theology at Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio, and at Dallas Theological Seminary. He received his Ph.D. from New York University. He studied Hebrew, archaeology and ancient history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Fruchtenbaum's topic will be "Prophecy and the Jew — Part I."

Wesleyans to host Vacation Bible school
PLATTSBURGH — Turnpike Wesleyan Church will hold vacation Bible school, this year with the theme "Rome — Paul and the Underground Church" from 6 to 8 p.m. July 6 through 10.

The program is open to children in grades 4 through 6.

Session to
address annulments

PORT HENRY — Msgr. Harry Snow, judicial vicar for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg, will be at St. Patrick's Parish Center in Port Henry at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, for a presentation on church annulments in the Roman Catholic Church. It is open to anyone interested in learning more about the topic.

Snow will entertain any and all questions revolving around church annulments. According to a press release, the session is purposeful for those who are currently in a living situation that prevents them from remarriage in the Catholic Church.
