Development journal-writing workshop
BURLINGTON — An Intensive Journal Workshop will take place this weekend at Bishop Booth Conference Center in Burlington, taught by Avis Smalley of Plattsburgh. The Intensive Journal is a comprehensive self-help method of writing for personal and spiritual development. The method, Smalley said, is especially helpful to people who are facing major life transitions and loss. It’s not geared to any particular doctrine or religion, she said. At the workshop Saturday and Sunday will be 12-hour sessions of writing with breaks and guidance by the trained leader. That workshop, called Life Context, is the foundation for a second one June 7 and 8 called Depth Contact that deals with dreams and intuitive material with the focus of finding meaning for inspiration and life problems. Cost for this weekend’s event is $245, not including accommodations. Call Smalley to register at 335-9425. Learn more about Intensive Journal at www.intensivejournal.org.
