Trip to Ottawa’s Tulip Festival in the works

PLATTSBURGH — The Senior Citizens Council is offering a trip to Ottawa’s Tulip Festival from Friday, May 17, to Monday, May 20.

The festival features more than 1 million tulips in 50 varieties blooming in public spaces. The trip includes: a guided tour of Ottawa; visits to Canada’s Aviation and Space Museum, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum; an Ottawa River Cruise; a tour of Parliament Hill buildings; and a Boldt Castle Luncheon Cruise.

The tour costs $675 per person for double occupancy. It includes coach transportation, three buffet breakfasts, one lunch, three dinners, three nights of lodging at the four-star Ramada Plaza Manoir du Casino in Gatineau, luggage handling and all admission. A $200 deposit per person is required to reserve a seat. The final payment is due Friday, April 5. There is a $50 fee for cancellations made within 35 days of the trip.

Adults of all ages are welcome. Participants must have a passport or Enhanced Driver’s License to participate.
