Presentation on meal program for seniors planned

PLATTSBURGH — Clinton County New York Connects is offering an educational series on a variety of community services. 

The next presentation is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the first floor meeting room at the Clinton County Government Center, 137 Margaret St. A visitor parking lot can be accessed via Court Street. Tammy Kemp and Marcella White of the Clinton County Nutrition Program will talk about home-delivered and congregate meals.

Social Security work incentive workshop today

PLATTSBURGH — OneWorkSource is hosting a Social Security work incentive event from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at its 194 US Oval location.

The event is for Social Security beneficiaries who are interested in learning more about working while receiving SSDI/SSI as well as how working may impact Medicaid and Medicare. The seminar will help answer questions for folks with disabilities.

Hunters Paradise event set for Oct. 21

PLATTSBURGH — The second-annual Hunters Paradise at Meadowbrook Healthcare, 154 Prospect Ave., is from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. 

The sights and sounds of nature will be displayed throughout the Grand Room for Meadowbrook residents and patients, their families and the community.
