Deadline nears
for senior cruise

PLATTSBURGH — The reservation deadline is July 6 for the Clinton County Senior Citizens Council's "Swinging Big Band Dinner Cruise" aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen, set for Sunday, July 26.

Transportation for the event will depart from the Senior Citizens Council at 4 p.m. and return at approximately 11 p.m. There will be plated cooked-to-order dinner service with five dinner entree options available.

The cost per person is $65 for members and $75 for non-members. The price includes transportation, dinner and entertainment.

An IMAX 3D Theatre Trip at Montreal Science Centre is planned for Aug. 28, with departure from the council at 9:30 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. The show is from noon to 1 p.m., with time for participants to have lunch and shop on their own.

Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members and includes transportation and theater tickets. Register by Aug. 7.

Caregiver group
to meet

PLATTSBURGH — A support group for all unpaid caregivers is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the United Way building, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.

The session is open to anyone providing unpaid care to an aging family member or friend. New participants are welcome.

Bring favorite
dish to picnic

MOOERS — The Mooers Good Fellowship Club will hold its annual summer picnic at the recreational field in Mooers at noon Wednesday, July 8.

Participants are asked to bring their favorite dish to share. Chicken and strawberry shortcake will be provided.

Driver Safety Program offered
ELLENBURG — AARP and the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity (JCEO) will sponsor the 55 Alive Driver Safety Program from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 and 6 at St. Edmund's Church Hall, Ellenburg.

The fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.

Seniors plan Maryland trip
TICONDEROGA — Ticonderoga Area Seniors will take a five-day, four-night trip to Ocean City, Md., Sept. 13 through 17.

The cost for double occupancy is $435.

It is not necessary to be a senior citizen or club member to take part, a press release said.
