Impeerium bowling event set for Thursday
PLATTSBURGH — Impeerium Peer Network is offering a bowling event from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at North Bowl Lanes, 28 North Bowl Lane.
Attendees are required to prepay $2 for their shoes when registering, and the Impeerium will pay the rest of the bowling bill. The event is open to the first 25 people who register by calling 324-6250.
Alzheimer’s Conference registration due soon
PLATTSBURGH — The 19th-annual Alzheimer’s Disease Conference is set for Friday, April 26, at SUNY Plattsburgh’s Warren Ballrooms.
Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on the second floor of the Angell College Center. Speakers include Dr. Taher Zandi, director of the Center for Intergenerational Studies and Programs and director of the Northeastern New York Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center; Jennifer Hall, DO, psychiatrist at Fletcher Allen Health Center; and Mary Moncrieff, board certified dance/movement therapist with the American Dance Therapy Association.
The cost ranges from $35 for students and family caregivers to $100 for physicians. Registration is required by Friday, April 19.

Bowling tournament Saturday for woman battling cancer
AUSABLE FORKS — A nine-pin bowling tournament for Sarah Tromblee is slated for 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Riverside Lanes, 2 Mcrea St.
The AuSable Forks native is a 37-year-old mother of three girls. She is battling breast and bone cancer. The condition requires her to go to the Atlanta, Ga., Cancer Treatment Centers of America for further evaluation and treatment.
The event will also feature raffles and 50/50s.
Brain Injury Center patients showing artwork
PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Traumatic Brain Injury Center will be teaming up with ROTA Gallery to host a special one-day art exhibition featuring various works from patients at the center.
The reception will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the gallery, 50 Margaret St.
