Bridge classes offered in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH — Learn the basics of what is known as “party,” “rubber,” “couples” or “contract” bridge in a series of eight weekly lessons set for 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Mondays starting April 1.

The first session will take place at the Elks Club on Cumberland Avenue and be held alternately at the Clinton County Senior Citizens Center of Clinton County, 5139 North Catherine St. 

This is a social type of bridge that can be played with four people and a standard deck of cards. A $25 fee includes an-easy-to follow book ($13 value) that can be reviewed at the Senior Center. 

The deadline to sign up is Friday, March 15. Call the Senior Center at 563-6180. Enrollment is not official until the fee is paid at the Senior Center. Class size is limited.
