Fall computer classes planned
PLATTSBURGH — A number of computer classes are being offered from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays this fall at the Senior Center, 5139 N. Catherine St.
Workshops will focus on computer maintenance on Wednesday, Oct. 2; working with digital camera pictures and your computer on Monday, Oct. 7; Windows 8 familiarization on Wednesday, Oct. 9; and “Improving Your Skills Using the Word Processor” on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14 and 16.
These classes will be the last regularly scheduled classes that Ed and Jean Schiffler will be teaching. Len Wood, who is taking over the teaching in the near future, will be announcing his class schedule and contacting those who have signed up for the upcoming Beginners Class.
A donation of $1 to the Senior Center is asked per class. For more information, call Ed or Jean Schiffler at 643-8575.
Busy B’s planning trip to Montreal
BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Busy B’s will travel to Montreal on Thursday, Oct. 17, to visit the fall displays at the Botanical Gardens.
The Premier coach will leave the Beekmantown Town Hall at 8:30 a.m. The group will eat at the Botanical Gardens cafeteria. A two-hour double-decker Greyline bus tour of Montreal will follow.
The price for members is $30 or $60 for guests. Lunch is not included. Those interested in attending should make checks out to Busy B’s and send to Sylvia Culley at 25 Trim Road, Apartment 1, Morrisonville, N.Y.
