---- — Support group for nursing moms meets PLATTSBURGH — La Leche League, a breast-feeding information and support group, meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Family Connections on U.S. Oval.

The group, which is for all women, meets the first Monday of every month. Babies are also welcome.

An additional support group will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Family Connections on U.S. Oval. This group will meet the third Friday of every month.

YMCA offering youth sleepovers today

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh YMCA is offering a fun-filled youth sleepover for children ages 8 through 11 today and for ages 11 through 14 on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The overnights will be run by Camp Jericho staff and will give the campers a chance to reunite with some summer-camp friends. The youth should be dropped off at the YMCA, which is located on the corner of Brinkerhoff and Oak streets, at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and picked up by 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The children will be able to use the YMCA’s climbing wall with the trained staff. The evening of fun also includes pizza for dinner as well as breakfast, snacks, swimming, group games, gym games, arts and crafts and a possible snow-sledding trip to Fox Hill.

The cost is $25 per child ($20 for YMCA members). It is limited to the first 50 children.

Meeting set for pet-therapy program

PERU — Thera-Pets Inc. charitable trust will have their annual meeting Monday, Feb. 4, at the VFW Post 309, 710 Route 22B.

The Executive Board will meet at 6:30 p.m., and the general-membership meeting is at 7.

Boys and Girls Club announces new hours

HOGANSBURG — The Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club will be changing its daily hours to more adequately service club members starting Monday, Feb. 11.

With the hiring of a new Teen Program coordinator, club hours will change to provide teens an opportunity every Friday to have the club to themselves from 6 to 10 p.m.

The new hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 to 10 p.m. Friday with those 12 years old and younger leaving by 6 p.m. The new hours will kick off with a teen dance for all community teens and coincides with the Akwesasne Winter Carnival.

Several field trips have been planned, including a trip to Syracuse University for a lacrosse game, a Cornwall Colts game made possible by a donation from Twinleaf and a spring college tour to visit Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College.

Any new or interested teens wanting to participate in the Teen Program may visit the club at 37 Rooseveltown Road and fill out a membership form. For more information, call Jessica Cree-Jock at 358-9911, Ext. 101.
