Talk to examine drug trends

PLATTSBURGH — “The Latest (and Not so Greatest) in Drug Trends,” an evening of education and conversation about drug use, is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Stafford Middle School on Broad Street.

The free event for middle/high-school students and their parents includes break-out activities, the High School Reality Panel, coffee, desserts and lots of freebies.

The event is sponsored by the Plattsburgh Campus and Community Partnership and the Drug Free Communities Support Program.

Support group for nursing moms meets Monday

PLATTSBURGH — La Leche League, a breast-feeding information and support group, meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Family Connections on U.S. Oval.

The group, which is for all women, meets the first Monday of every month. Babies are also welcome.

An additional support group will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Imaginarium Children’s Museum, 4709 Route 9, Plattsburgh. This group will meet the third Tuesday of every month.
