Great Escape tickets available

at discount

PLATTSBURGH -- The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department has available tickets to the Great Escape amusement park in Lake George for anyone 48 inches or taller on sale for $25.50. These tickets are good for any day the Great Escape is open and normally are $39.99 if purchased at the gate. Tickets for anyone shorter than 48 inches are priced at $24.99 each at the gate. There are no discounts on these tickets. Children ages 2 years and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the Town Clerk's Office, 151 Banker Rd., Plattsburgh, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call the Town Recreation Office at 562-6860.

Nursery School accepting applications

DANNEMORA -- The Saranac Co-Operative Nursery School, located at 18 Birch Dr., Dannemora, is accepting enrollment applications for the 2008-2009 school year. Classes at the not-for-profit center are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Enrollment is limited to 15 students, and it fills up quickly, said teacher Tracey Trombley in a press release.
