More than 1,500 students have reserved places as freshmen at SUNY Oswego. Fall classes will begin Aug. 26. Area students in the class will include Brielle Cerne of Cadyville, Brennan L. Martino of Plattsburgh, Dylan J. Charland of Saranac, Marisa M. McDonough of Saranac Lake and Justin B. Rose of West Chazy.

The School Administrators Association of New York State, Region 7, has awarded scholarships to these area students: Grace Mayhew and Mary Mazzella, Peru Central School; Alex Friedman, Plattsburgh City School District; Craig Leahy, Saranac Lake Central School; Jessica Spaulding, Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School; and Keegan Ryan, Maile Sapp andDaniel Villa, all of Beekmantown Central School.
Matthew Ryan Miller of Plattsburgh has been named to the Dean’s List at Norwich University, Northfield, Vt. Norwich University is an academic institution that educates traditional age students and adults in a Corps of Cadets and as civilians.
Megan Harris of Morrisonville has been recognized by Northeastern University in Boston as a distinguished student, naming her to the Dean’s List. She majors in behavioral neuroscience.
