---- — Christopher Roberts of Champlain and Lauren Adams of Hogansburg, students at Clarkson University, Potsdam, completed co-ops in their selected fields. Roberts, of Champlain, a senior majoring in engineering and management, participated at BorgWarner in Ithaca. Adams, a senior majoring in civil engineering, was assigned to a co-op at Morrison Hershfield, Ottawa, Ontario. A co-op is a professional experience allowing students to take a semester off and work for a company, usually to lead large, multi-departmental projects.

Kamen Carson of Alburgh, Vt., and a student at Northeastern Clinton Central School, is the recipient of the Neil Thomas Guay Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship, given annually to a graduating senior.

Jessica Caner of Keene Valley completed the fall semester with academic excellence and qualified for the Vice President’s List at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica.

Jessica D. Burl of Burke, a senior at Clarkson University, Potsdam, has been named to a Presidential Scholar for the fall semester. She majors in bimolecular science and mathematics.

Megan Papineau of Lake Placid, a nursing student at Utica College, has been named to the High Honors list with a GPA of 4.0.

Matthew Terry, son of Buck and Bobbi Terry of Redford, has been named to the fall Dean’s List at LeMoyne College in Syracuse. A member of the Class of 2015, he graduated from Saranac High School and is majoring in business and marketing.

Dana Aurilio of Moriah Center, a psychology major at Russell Sage, Troy, has been named to the Dean’s List. She is the daughter of Thomas and Patricia Aurilio and graduated from Moriah Central School in 2010.

Joseph Leblanc of Saranac Lake graduated from the University of New Haven, West Haven, Conn., with a Master’s Degree in industrial/organizational psychology.

Maegan Bull of West Chazy has won a $1,200 scholarship in a state-wide competition among high-school seniors who are, or whose families are, members of the New York State Farm Bureau.

After advancing to state level, she competed against nine finalists from school districts across New York. She is the daughter of Carlton and Sheila Bull. Her school activities have included soccer, softball, serving as president of the Varsity Club and being a member of the Peer Connectors, which helps students prepare for high school. She was the operations manager for the school’s store 2011 and 2012 and co-manager this year and a member of the National Honor Society. Bull has been active in 4-H since 2000, where she has served as secretary and treasurer of her club and is currently vice president. While showing cattle, she has won Junior Champion and Grand Champion Holstein awards and Grand Champion Showman. She plans to attend Cornell University and major in communications or business in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Rebecca White of Westport has been honored by acceptance in Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. She was chosen by a campus nominating committee at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, where she is a student.

White is studying in the health information management and technology academic program.

Named to the Dean’s List at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences are Kyle Rabideau of Mooers Forks, Amanda Rabideau of Mooers Forks, Amanda Bradley of Plattsburgh, Nicole Durnin of Lyon Mountain, Tiffani Lacey of Morrisonville, Nathan Lamberton of Mooers Forks, Rosanna LaPier of Plattsburgh, Kalen Lezak of Plattsburgh, Raelyn Passino of Peru, Emily Plumadore of AuSable Forks, Mia Queguiner of Plattsburgh, Jennifer Bechard of Champlain, Dylan Goslin of Saranac, Jenna McGreevy of Wilmington and Kenneth Boire of Chazy.

Area students who have been named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence at their respective universities include: Alyssa A. Menard of Rouses Point, SUNY Fredonia; Joseph Izzo of Lake Placid, Berklee College of Music in Boston; Katherine A. Tooley of Plattsburgh, Boston University; and Conner Manning of Upper Jay, St. Bonaventure University.

Fujitsu Fontech North America Inc. has awarded two $2,500 scholarship to adult students at CV-TEC enrolled in the Plattsburgh Aeronautical Institute. First-year aeronautical student Marjorie Travison and third-year student Jonathan Maze have received the honor.

Colleen N. Bradley of Plattsburgh has been inducted into St. Lawrence University’s chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honorary society. She is a member of the Class of 2015 and graduated from Beekmantown Central School.

Megan Richards of Rouses Point spent spring break serving others as part of James Madison University’s Alternative Spring Break Program. Richards, a sophomore communication sciences and disorder major at the Harrisonburg, Pa., school, traveled to California to volunteer at AIDS Project Los Angeles.

Rachel Daly of Peru, a senior English major, and Samantha Mulcahy of Peru, have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Dallas, Irving, Texas.

Braden LaMere, son of Tracey and Louise LaMere of Mooers Forks, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of Albany.

Ethan V. Crockett, a senior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the Dean’s List for his outstanding academic achievements. He is the son of Van and Kim Crockett of Plattsburgh and attended Plattsburgh Senior High School.

Emily McCall, daughter of Patrick and Cheryl McCall, has been recognized for academic achievement and named to the Dean’s List at Ithaca College. She is a 2011 graduate of Peru Central School.

Aubrey B. Fox of Saranac Lake and Taylor L. McCabe of Keene have been selected for inclusion on the Dean’s List at St. Lawrence University, Canton. Fox is a member of the Class of 2014 and graduated from Saranac Lake High School. McCabe graduated from Keene Central School and is also a member of the Class of 2014.

Area students who have been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University Chapter of Psi Chi, the national psychology honorary society, include Alex J. Fredette of Plattsburgh, Kayla J. Hebert of Keene Valley and Brittany R. McDonald of Altona.

Cameron Barry of Wilmington graduated in December from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi with an associate’s degree in veterinary science technology.

Megan Harris of Morrisonville has been named to the Dean’s List at Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. She is also a member of the University Honors program, which offers high-caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special on-campus housing and participate in one or two honors courses each term.

Four area residents graduated from Clarkson University, Potsdam, in December. They are Britni L. Ashline of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering; Annie M. Murphy of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics; Bradley R. Boshart of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering; and J. Tyler Glanda of Westport, Bachelor of Professional Studies.

Ashley K. Menard, daughter of Greg LaDuke and Kristina Burdo, both of Plattsburgh, has been named to the Dean’s List at LeMoyne College, Syracuse, for the fall semester. She is a member of the Class of 2014 and graduated from Plattsburgh Senior High School. She majors in history and minors in legal studies.

Ava Tyler of Saranac Lake has been named to Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities. She was nominated by the faculty at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H.
