Hannah Gardiner, daughter of David and Victoria Gardiner of Chateaugay, graduated cum laude from the University at Albany in December, with a Bachelor of Arts in rhetoric and communication with a minor in journalism. She graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.40 and maintained Dean’s List qualifications for 5 semesters in total. Gardiner was an avid member of the National Communications Honors Fraternity Lambda Pi Eta and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars during her time at Albany. She also remained focused on her passion for journalism by working for the Albany Student Television Network as an executive producer and television host. She will pursue a career in public relations in Manhattan, with the luxury lifestyle and hospitality firm J Public Relations.

Connery Marsh of St. Regis Falls has been selected to represent New York as a National Youth Delegate at the 2013 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University during June.

Laura Merrill of Plattsburgh has been named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Mass. The daughter of Bill and Karen Merrill, she is a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering.

Parker Crandall, son of John and Robin Crandall of Westport, is attending the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry Ranger School in Wanakena. He is studying in the forest technology program. The Ranger School offers the associate’s degree programs of SUNY EFS.

Nathan J. Bull, a 2009 graduate of Beekmantown Central School, has been named to the Dean’s List at Cornell University for both the spring and fall semesters. He is the son of Carlton and Sheila Bull of West Chazy and a member of the Cornell Chordials, an a cappella group who were recently awarded Album Pick of the Year by the A Cappella Review Board.
