Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, the adjutant general for the state of New York, has announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.

The members include Brian Healy of Morrisonville and serving with the Company B 2-108, to the rank of sergeant; and Derrick Venne of Cadyville, with the Troop C 2-101 CAV (reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition), to the rank of sergeant.
