Artists sought for ARTWays Project
PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts is looking for submissions for its fourth round of the Adirondack Coast ARTWays Project.
The theme will be “Adirondack Coast Outdoor Recreation.” ARTWays is a collaboration between the arts center, Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, local businesses and artists to promote the Adirondacks through art.
All mediums are accepted. Artists may submit one work. Entries, which may be portrait or landscape, must be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG of no less than 300 dpi to email@example.com. Artists must include a brief bio; artist statement; and the dimensions, medium and year of creation of the original work. Submitted images must not be watermarked or signed to preserve anonymity during the judging process.
The submission deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2.
Entries will be judged by a diverse panel. The winner will be announced at an unveiling ceremony at the Adirondack Coast Wine, Cider and Food Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Crete Civic Center in Plattsburgh. Winners will have their art displayed publicly throughout the region on posters, magnets, cards, websites and more.
