Franklin County Fair plans for big grandstand crowds

Saturday, Aug. 10: The Australian rock band known as the Little River Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. The band, which formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, is best known for their hits during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Some of those hits include “Reminiscing,” “Lady,” and “Cool Change.”

Fair admission is $15, and track seats are an additional $15.

Sunday, Aug.11: The Painted Pony Championship Rodeo will be in Malone for the last day of the fair. The rodeo, which provides plenty of fun and family-oriented entertainment, will start at 4 p.m.

Fair Admission is $10 and includes a grandstand-bleacher seat.

In addition to selling track seat tickets, the Franklin County Fair office is also selling season tickets for $50 and ride tickets at a reduced price of $10 per sheet. Season tickets include admission into the fair and a grandstand-bleacher seat for all nine days. For more information, call the fair office at 483-0720.
