Students and faculty gathered to protest Gov. David Paterson's proposed cuts to SUNY, which could result in layoffs, less programs and fee increases at Plattsburgh State.

The members of the Westboro Baptist Church made one last stop in Plattsburgh March 6th, protesting in between Rugar and Broad Street. They were there to protest "The Laramie Project", a play that Plattsburgh State was putting on. Many showed up to counter protest outside, while others went to the Angel College Center Ballrooms at Plattsburgh State for a "College/Community Rally for Love and Hope."
