10 YEARS AGO (2002)

▶ Middlebury College's Ryan Constantine, a former Beekmantown standout, joins Plattsburgh State's Niklas Sundberg, Peter Ollari and Jason Kilcan on the College Division hockey All-American team.

▶ The Mac Attack, coached by Vicki McMillan and Ilene Fessette, wins the U16 Gold Division at the 11th-Annual Bay State Volleyball Invitational. Team members include Kaylen Fessette, Lindsey Wilfore, Kim Bezio, Ashley Denny, Katrina Staves, Elizabeth Tregan and Sabrina Morris.

▶ Former NCCS standout Lisa Marlow hurls a 4-hit shutout while ex-Saranac star Jenny Reyell goes 3-for-3 in leading Plattsburgh State to a 10-0 victory over Mercy, L.I. in the Sun West softball tournament in California.

▶ Top-seeded and unbeaten Blind Brook defeats Seton Catholic 65-36 in the state boys' Class C semifinals in basketball. Dan Willette leads the Knights with 7 points.

20 YEARS AGO (1992)

▶ Salem scores 4 points in the last 20 seconds to defeat Westport 52-50 in a girls' regional basketball final. Julie Moore scores 22 points and grabs 22 rebounds before fouling out in her final high-school game.

▶ Caroline Casey, a fifth-grader at St. John's, finishes first in the Kandahar Giant Slalom in Laconia, N.H.

▶ Port Henry's Dale Sprague coaches the Western Maryland College football team to a 47-7 victory over a team of Russian All-Stars in Moscow.

▶ Former Plattsburgh High standout Jeff Holmes coaches Shaker High School to the Section II Class A title in boys' basketball.

▶ Jay Shepard puts together a 1,222 score for the boys' high 6-game scratch series at the state bowling tournament.

▶ Patty McCormick finishes eighth in the two-mile run at the National Scholastic Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 11:13.

25 YEARS AGO (1987)

E Mark Leclair, Jeff Gonyo and Mike Cleveland step up to help St. John's defeat MAI 6-2 in the state Div. II semifinals in hockey. Albany Academy ends the Irish run with a 3-2 win in the championship game.
