Lake Placid trips up NCCS
CHAMPLAIN -- Alex Hall defeated Anthony Changelo in a thrilling three-set match at No. 1 singles to lead Lake Placid to a 4-1 victory over previously unbeaten Northeastern Clinton in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys' tennis.
Hall won the first set 6-4, but Changelo rebounded for a 7-6 win in the second set, taking the tiebreaker 8-6. Hall then won the third set 6-3.
Northeastern Clinton, losing for the first time in two years, fell to 6-1 while Lake Placid improved to 5-2.
Alexis Wrye and Meaghan Langr registered straight-set victories in singles to lead the Northeastern Clinton girls (7-0) to a 4-1 triumph over Lake Placid (5-2).
