PHS, Saranac spikers post shutouts



PLATTSBURGH — Kayla Hoopes led the way with 14 points, six aces, eight kills, one assist and four blocks as Plattsburgh High downed Northern Adirondack 3-0 in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball.

"Hoopes played well at the net and had a nice serving game tonight," Plattsburgh High head coach Vickie McMillan said. "This was a season high in points."

Hannah Emery added 13 points, two kills, one assist and four digs and Carly Fisher added 13 points, 2 kills and two digs for Plattsburgh High (12-2).

Sarah Brunell led Northern Adirondack with six points, two digs, two assists and three aces.

CHAMPLAIN — Alyssa Rabideau had 15 points, 15 digs, 16 assists and one ace to lead the Cougars past the Blue Bombers.

Brooke Surprenant added 15 points, two aces and seven digs and Ayisha Loya had 10 points, nine digs, six kills and four aces for the Cougars.

MacKenzie Purner had 10 points, six aces, three kills and two blocks and Lauren Scarpelli had nine points, three aces and three assists to lead Lake Placid.

SARANAC — Catlin Furnia had 11 points, three aces and 11 digs to lead the Chiefs past the Indians.

Saranac blanked Peru 25-23, 25-22 and 25-11.

Kim Plumadore had eight points, 10 assists and nine digs and Alysha Keller added eight points, four aces for the Chiefs (10-4).

Ayaka Abe had nine points, two aces, five digs and five kills for Peru. (10-3)
