Hornets blank Knights on the golf course
Peru, Ticonderoga, Beekmantown, NCCS also win
PLATTSBURGH -- The unbeaten Plattsburgh High School golf team prepared for today's showdown with Saranac Lake by defeating Seton Catholic, 6-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf Wednesday at Bluff Point.
The Hornets, who improved their season record to 8-0, will play the undefeated Red Storm today at the Saranac Lake Golf Club for the league championship.
Wednesday, the Hornets' Ethan Votraw was medalist on the day with a 38. Mark Pellerin added a 40 and Alex Pierce a 41 for Plattsburgh High.
Ryan Kirkpatrick (43), Luke Short (43) and Tim Strack (49) also won matches for the Hornets.
Chase Pellerin turned in the Knights' low round of the day with a 45.

TICONDEROGA -- Tyler Hoey was medalist with a two-over-par 39 at Ticonderoga Country Club to lead the Indians to their shutout victory.
Keegan O'Hara (42), Ryan Miller (42), Sean Harrigan (46), Elliott Daugherty (42) and Matt Johnson (50) also won for Peru.
Eain Tierney paced the Sentinels with a 47, while Josh Demarais added a 48 and Matt Bussey a 49.
