It was a day for sweeps in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference track & field Thursday.

Saranac Lake, Beekmantown, Northeastern Clinton, Saranac and Peru won in both boys and girls in dual-meet competition.

SARANAC LAKE -- Mackenzie Cotter was a three-time winner for Saranac Lake with Corinne Becker, Hannah Sporn, Nikki Trudeau and Shannon Kelly all double winners for the Red Storm (2-2).

Hannah O'Toole won three events while Persephone Turetsky and Brittany Woodring each took two firsts for AuSable Valley (1-3).

Jordan Bryant earned victories in three distance races to help the Saranac Lake boys beat the Patriots.

Bryant won the 1,600 meters in 5:05.9 and the 800 in 2:18.2, and he helped the Red Storm finished first in the 3,200 relay.

Aidan Bickford helped the 3,200 squad and won the 3,200 run. Sam Racette, Keenan Neigel, Ben LeBlanc and Ben Ponce also won two events apiece.

Austin Davis, James Montefusco and Joe Lincoln led AuSable Valley with two wins each.
