MADRID -- Amanda Gadway won the shot put and placed third in the discus while Jessica Farmer set a school record in winning the 200-meter dash Saturday to lead Malone to a convincing victory in the Madrid-Waddington Invitational in girls' track & field.
Gadway won the shot put with a throw of 30 feet, 4 inches and took third in the discus with a throw of 88 feet, 4 inches. Her sister, Ashley, came in second in the discus.
Farmer won the 200 in 26.0 seconds to lower the school record.
The Huskies also picked up firsts from Maggie Dievendorf in the 100-meter hurdles (17.8 seconds), Kaylie Lamica in the 400 hurdles (1:11.2) and Kate Matthews in the pentathlon (2,347 points).
Tupper Lake's Kayla Kenyon, with firsts in the 800 and 1,600 relay, was named the Outstanding Track Runner while Gouverneur's Michelle Smith was the top combined athlete of the meet.
