INDIAN LAKE -- Alex Smith hurled a complete-game two-hitter with 16 strikeouts as Indian Lake/Long Lake recorded a 17-4 win over Schroon Lake in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference crossover baseball action Wednesday.
Smith allowed both hits in the first inning as the Wildcats reached the righthander for a pair of runs. Smith struck out the side in the second, third and seventh innings as the Orange ran their record to 10-0 overall, including 6-0 in MVAC South play.
The Orange answered with nine runs in the bottom of the first. Jeff Reynolds delivered the big blow with a three-run double.
Reynolds and Andy Snide finished with two hits and four RBI apiece. Smith added two hits and drove in three runs.
Kyle Bush drove in two runs for Schroon Lake.

ELIZABETHTOWN -- Adam Clark drilled two run-scoring singles and Cody Wayman struck out eight to lead Crown Point past Elizabethtown-Lewis.
The Panthers (13-0, 9-0) jumped on top in the first inning on an RBI single from Clark and an RBI fielder's choice by Kevin Gadway.
Gadway and Clark delivered for Crown Point again in the fifth inning as the Panthers tallied four times. After a walk to Jacob Spring, Gadway hit a run-scoring double and Clark followed with an RBI single. Mac Kiely added a sacrifice fly in the inning.
Elizabethtown-Lewis (4-5) made the game interesting in the bottom of the seventh with three runs. Jake Hooper ripped a run-scoring triple and Danny Mitchell an RBI single for the Lions.

Chazy 19, Westport 8
WESTPORT -- Jacob Beeman had a huge day at the plate for Chazy, going 4-for-4, including two triples and a double. He scored five runs and drove in two more.
Nolan Ryan added three hits, including a triple, while Gaelen Trombley contributed two hits and four RBI for the visitors.
Kyle Reynolds pitched six innings to get the victory on the mound.
Losing pitcher Colin MacIver drove in three runs for Westport. Tyler Atwell and Zach Sherman had two hits each, with Atwell hitting a triple.
Chazy had 12 hits in all and took advantage of six Westport errors.

Keene 11, Willsboro 2
WILLSBORO -- Luke Andrews scattered four hits over seven innings and struck out 11, while batterymate Jacob Earl delivered two hits and three RBI to lead Keene past Willsboro.
Keene tallied three runs in the first inning, including a pair on an Earl double.
With the Beavers leading 4-1, they ripped four consecutive singles, including a run-scoring hit by Earl, and scored two more runs on a misplayed fly ball to put the game out of reach.
Keith Wadsworth contributed two hits to the Keene attack, while Andrews and Nate Woods drove in two runs apiece.
Austin Strong and Justin Drinkwine accounted for all four of the Warriors hits with two apiece.
Lucas Strong suffered the loss.
