SCHROON LAKE -- Freshman Wesley Beers had a stellar day coming up a double short of the cycle as Schroon Lake defeated Westport 11-9 in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference baseball.
Beers, had a single, triple and a homerun to lead the scoring for the Wildcats. Ethan Tyrell had three runs scored and had a double and a triple for Schroon Lake (7-3). George Egan scored three times, Kyle Bush had a single and two doubles for the Wildcats.
Tarri Haina pitched four strong innings striking out five.
Michael Tyler and Zach Sherman each hit a pair of singles for the Eagles. The pitchers for Westport (4-7) combined for seven strikeouts on the game.

Crown Point 14, Keene 3
KEENE VALLEY -- Nathan Tabor went the distance striking out 11 and walking one as the Panthers remained undefeated knocking off the Eagles 14-3.
Travis Tabor had two hits including a triple with three RBI, Kevin Gadway had a bases clearing single, Mark Ashline had three hits and an RBI, Jacob Spring had two hits and two RBI, and Mack Kiely had three hits for Crown Point (12-0).
Keith Wadsworth had two singles, Jake Earl and Andrew Murphy each had a double for Keene. Ian Hall took the loss for the Eagles (3-6).

WILLSBORO -- The bats were alive as the Lions defeated the Warriors 22-4.
Evan Giroux had four hits and five RBI on the night for Elizabethtown-Lewis. Devin Drummond had two doubles and two RBI, Tyler Barton had two hits, Josh Pierce had two hits, Jake Hooper had two hits and two RBI, Dan Mitchell had two hits and Ben Goff had two hits and two RBI for the Lions.
Alex Shepard had two hits and two RBI and Jordan Blanchard had a double for Westport.

WELLS -- Dustin Greco went four innings striking out eight, walking two and allowing five hits in picking up the win for Johnsburg.
Josh Harvey had two triples and scored three times for the Jaguars.
Shane Raymond scored twice and had a double and Ryan Woodward had two hits for Wells.

INDIAN LAKE -- Jeff Reynolds went 4-for-4 and had six RBI to help the Orange to victory.
Reynolds had a double, two triples and a single on the day just a homerun shy of the cycle. Dave Andrews went 4-for-5 with a triple and five RBI, and Jordan Monthony went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI for the Orange (6-0, 9-0).
Monthony went the complete game striking out 12 in seven innings of work.
Devin Tokarz had two hits for Minerva-Newcomb

Diemand also contributed at the plate with two hits. Farrell Crowningshield had three hits including a triple for Elizabethtown-Lewis.
Rebecca White had two hits and Stephanie Stevens and Nancy Armitage had two RBI each.
