Malone wins on diamond

— NORWOOD -- Zach Leffler led off the game with a home run and Malone went on to score seven runs in the second inning Monday on its way to a 10-2 victory over Norwood-Norfolk in Northern Athletic Conference baseball.
Leffler and Brock Bannon each had two hits for the Huskies (9-4, 5-4), who will be at Potsdam today.
Brad Fleury went the distance for the victory, allowing four hits while striking out five and walking three.

The Huskies (12-1, 9-0) tallied three times in the first and four more in the second.
Erica Johnson earned the win as she walked four and struck out seven in four innings of relief work.
