Smith MVP of tournament, leads Orange to victory.



OLD FORGE -- Indian Lake/Long Lake held off Johnsburg 1-0 to capture the Old Forge Columbus Day boys' soccer tournament Sunday night.

Thom Ross scored the lone goal of the game just a mere 1:04 into the first half to seal the win for the Orange.

Indian Lake/Long Lake (13-1-1) had a 24 to 17 shot advantage. Alex Smith turned in his seventh shutout of the season with 13 saves in net.

Smith also was selected as the tournaments most valuable player.

Indian Lake/Long Lake takes on Bolton at Schroon Lake today at 3 p.m. for the Division 2, Division 3 playoff game.

ARGYLE -- Dominic Pfau scored the lone goal of the game as Bolton beat Argyle in the Adirondack League Tournament.

Pfau scored with just 11 minutes remaining in the second half assisted by Connor Smith and Eric Fisher.

Mitchell Jordon made nine saves in net for the Eagles.
