MALONE -- Starting his second game at quarterback, freshman Carter Frechette connected with Andrew Price for four touchdown passes in the first half as Beekmantown clawed Franklin Academy, 52-21, in a Northern Football Conference Class B game Saturday.

The freshman completed 9-of-13 passes for 264 yards as he showed some athletic prowess in eluding would-be tacklers while his receivers were getting behind the secondary.

The Eagles (4-2, 3-0) have won three straight.

In the first quarter, Frechette and Price had touchdown plays of 13, 33 and 75 yards. The fourth touchdown for the combo came late in the second quarter as Frechette somehow avoided a sack and threw a long pass downfield for a 60-yard touchdown play.

Frechette scored a touchdown of his own on an 11-yard run. Patrick Manor added a 21-yard scoring run, C.J. Witkowski ran for a 20-yard score and Matt Durocher added an 11-yard run.

For the Huskies (2-4, 1-3), Jake Gravel had a spectacular 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The junior added a 19-yard touchdown, and Brad Soulia had a 2-yard score.
