MALONE — Jordan Keysor was in complete control Thursday night as he tossed a one-hitter to help lead the Clinton County Mariners to a 7-0 win over Malone in American Legion baseball.
Keysor struck out nine in going the distance for the victory as the Mariners improved their season record to 8-6.
"Keysor pitched a good game," said Mariners head coach John Flynn. "We wanted to get Jordan back on the mound and he was more aggressive with his fastball tonight."
Clinton County scored single runs in the first, second, third and fifth innings and broke it open with three in the seventh.
Pat Shaughnessy and Frank Buksa each accounted for two hits and two RBI for the Mariners, with Shaughnessy hitting a home run.
"Jordan Bezio and Aaron Tenbuuren also swung the bats well for us tonight," Flynn said.
The Mariners return to action on Sunday with a doubleheader against the Champlain Edge at Plattsburgh State's Chip Cummings Field.
