Weaver, Palmer spark B'town

SARANAC LAKE -- Cody Weaver struck out seven in going the distance for the pitching win Friday as Beekmantown defeated Saranac Lake, 7-3, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball.
Weaver, who allowed seven hits, blanked the Red Storm from the fourth inning on.
The Eagles (7-5) broke a 3-all tie with two runs in the fifth and added two more in the sixth.
Brett Palmer led Beekmantown with three hits, while Andrew Price and Allen Fessette chipped in with two each.
Nick Fortune started the took the loss for Saranac Lake (2-10). Logan McDougall led the Red Storm with two hits and Dan Drake added a double.
