PORT HENRY -- There was good news for both the Plattsburgh High School and Moriah golf teams Friday.
The Hornets remained unbeaten in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference play with a 4.5-1.5 victory at the Moriah Country Club.
Meanwhile, Moriah sophomore Tom Tesar became the second high school golfer to get a hole-in-one this season when he aced the par-three, 140-yard third hole. Witnesses were teammate Landon Cross and PHS golfers Alex Pierce and Mark Pellerin.
Ryan Kirkpatrick was medalist with a one-over par 33 to lead the Hornets to victory. Ethan Votraw added a 34 and Pierce a 35 for PHS.
Phil Belzer, who lost the N. 1 match to Kirkpatrick by two strokes, was low man for the Vikings with a 35. Tesar ended up with a 42.
Kirkpatrick, Votraw, Pierce and Luke Short won their matches for PHS, while Tyler French had the lone win for the Vikings. The No. 4 match between Cross and Pellerin was halved.

PERU -- Keegan O'Hara was medalist with a 40 at Adirondack Golf & Country Club to lead the Indians (4-1) past Northeastern Clinton.
Tyler Hoey added a 43 for Peru, while Ryan Miller and Matt Johnson each contributed a 44. O'Hara, Hoey, Miller, Johnson and Sean Harrigan won their matches.
Cody O'Brian was low man for the Cougars with a 42 and Stephen Young added a 46. Nolan Reid won his match for NCCS.

TICONDEROG A -- Michael Phelan was medalist with a 38 and Casey McHugh added a 39 at the par-37 Ticonderoga Country Club to power unbeaten Saranac Lake past the host Sentinels.
Pat HcHugh (43), Dana Tarantelli (44), Taras Gach (44) and Nick McGrath (46) also won their matches to complete Saranac's Lake shutout.
Eain Tierney was low for the Sentinels with a round of 47.
Ryan Lee carded a 45 and Mitch Ryder a 46 to lead Beekmantown past the Sentinels.
Nick Buccellato (47), MaCullen Cope (48) and Taylor O'Connor (53) also won matches for the Eagles, while Josh Demarais (52) had the lone win for Ti.

PLATTSBURGH -- Austin Pivetta was medalist on the day with a 40, while teammates Joe Craig and Tyler Carrow each added a 41 to lead the Chiefs (4-3) to their shutout of the Knights at The Barracks Golf Course.
Tyler Aubin (46), Jon Rodriquez (42) and Paul Carter (53) also won matches for Saranac.
Chase Pellerin had the low score for Seton Catholic with a 43 and Alex Wylie added a 45.

LAKE PLACID -- Willie Kane and Aimee Caligiore each carded a 38 at the par-35 Craig Wood Golf Course to lead the Blue Bombers past the Patriots.
Kane, Christian Blazer (42), Will Tennant (43) and Ryan Jewtraw (43) won their matches for Lake Placid.
AuSable Valley's Jeremy Tennian shared medalist honors on the day with a 38 and halved his match with Caligiore. John Hickey added a 39 for AuSable Valley and Justin Hart (41) picked up the lone win for the Patriots.

Chris Leclerc and Seth Barney each added a 43 for Franklin Academy and Shawn Legacy, a 45. Nick Sterling was low for the Wildcats with a 40.
