PERU -- A battle of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf unbeatens went to a tie-breaker Wednesday afternoon.
Plattsburgh High School edged Peru, 172-174, in a match held at Adirondack Golf & Country Club.
Ryan Kirkpatrick led the Hornets with a 40, while the Indians' Tyler Hoey was medalist with a 39.
Picking up victories for Plattsburgh were Alex Pierce (43), Mark Pellerin by default and Luke Short (45), who won by a stroke in the No. 6 slot.
Winning for the Indians were Hoey, who defeated Kirkpatrick by a stroke in the No. 1 match, Keegan O'Hara (42) and Matt Johnson (47).

Shea Branon and Will Pellerin each shot a 45 for the low score for Seton Catholic.

LAKE PLACID -- Aimee Caligiore recorded a personal best 38 from the men's tees to capture medalist honors and lead the Blue Bombers past the Eagles at Craig Wood Golf Course.
Willie Kane and Will Tennant each added a 40 for Lake Placid, while Ryan Jewtraw contributed a 42 and Mike Clark, 45.
Mitchell Ryder won the lone match for the Eagles and was low on the team with a 44.
