---- — PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College baseball season came to an end on a sour note Tuesday.
The Cougars dropped both games of a doubleheader to Mohawk Valley, 15-1 and 9-2, to wrap up the 2013 season.
Alexander McLean led the way for the Hawks in game one with a home run and a double.
Charles Parsons captured the victory on the mound for Mohawk Valley, going the all six innings.
Tom Curran paced Clinton with a double. Jamie Davison chipped in with a pair of hits.
Kristian Sherman suffered the pitching loss.
In game two, Joshua Luczak and Brian Imfeld held the Cougars to just four hits in the game. Luczak picked up the victory.
Zephan Kash belted a home run for the Hawks, while Bryce Patterson and Brandon Thomas each finished with a double.
Davison took the loss in game two for Clinton.
“The guys played hard all season,” Cougars coach Tom Neale said. “They always hustled. We played good competition, but they always gave it their best effort.”
