Cougars drop a pair in baseball, softball

Clinton finished its 2013 season winless.

“Our scores never showed how much we improved,” Cougars coach Sammi Stoughton said. “We definitely made a steady improvement over our games. We finished much better than where we started.”

Samantha Giruzzi picked up the win for the Cannoneers (11-15). Christine Darrah was tagged with the loss.

In game two, Jefferson belted four runs in the seventh inning to pull away for an 8-1 win.
