---- — Saranac at Plattsburgh High in baseball today

PLATTSBURGH — The Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball game featuring Saranac at Plattsburgh High, originally scheduled for May 18, has been moved to today at Lefty Wilson Field at 4:30 p.m.

The AuSable Valley at Plattsburgh High contest, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been moved to Wednesday at Lefty Wilson Field.

PERU — The Franklin Academy at Peru baseball game originally scheduled for Saturday has been moved to today at 4:30 p.m. in Peru.

Gregoire gets two hits in Little League game

PLATTSBURGH — Jacob Gregoire had a double and triple in Saturday’s Plattsburgh Little League game between VFW and Pepsi. Gregoire was incorrectly credited as 1-for-2 with a double in Sunday’s edition of the Press-Republican.

Dannemora Fun Golf League to begin May 9

PLATTSBURGH — The Dannemora Fun Golf League will begin its play for this season on May 9 at Bluff Point Golf Resort.

The league will have the same fees and tee times from last year. There will be a meeting on May 9 prior to the first tee time. If there are any questions, contact Rich, at 492-7764.

Hunter Education Classes to be held

WESTPORT — Hunter Education Classes have been scheduled for the Westport Fish & Game Club on May 23 from 6 to 9 p.m., May 24 from to 9 p.m. and May 25 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Area football officials to hold annual golf tourney

WESTPORT — The CCFOA board of area football officials will be holding their annual scholarship golf tournament June 2 at the Westport Golf & Country Club. There will be a 10 a.m. shotgun start, and the format is a four-person scramble with a modified Oldsmobile handicap.

The cost is $220 per team if paid by May 26 and $250 per team thereafter ($10 may be deducted for each Westport member on a team). The cost includes golf, cart, post-tournament meal, complimentary refreshments and cash prizes for three places handicap and first place low gross based on 20 or more teams. Skins are optional at $20 per team. Also, prize/cash combinations will be given to closest to the pin on all par-three holes.
