Curle to appear on Hoopsville Show

HUNT VALLEY, Md. — Plattsburgh State men’s basketball coach Tom Curle is scheduled to appear as a guest on Hoopsville — the premier show for everything related to Division III basketball — at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Curle will be one of numerous coaches who will be featured on the special 12-hour edition of the show. Host Dave McHugh will kick off his Division III hoops extravaganza at 10 a.m., and viewers can interact with McHugh on Twitter (@d3hoopsville) or by visiting the show’s Facebook page (facebook.com/hoopsville).

So far this season, Curle has led the Cardinals to a 13-3 record, which includes a 7-2 SUNY Athletic Conference record.

Curling pairings to be set today

PLATTSBURGH — The drawing for pairings for Winterfest 2014 Curling will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 29 at the American Legion Post 1619. The tournament will be held Feb. 1. Captains must be present for the drawing. Teams on the waiting list are also welcome. For more info, call Post 1619 at 561-8706.

Little League registration starts Feb. 1

PLATTSBURGH — Registration for Little League Baseball’s 75th Anniversary Season will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1 at the City Base Gym on the oval, as well as from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and Feb. 13 in the lobby of the Crete Center.

Medical and registration forms and a map for residency verification are available at plattsburghll.webs.com/. The participation cost is $45.

Players who meet the residency requirements and were born between May 1, 2001 and April 30, 2007 are eligible to participate.

Saranac Booster Club meeting Feb. 3

SARANAC — The Saranac Central School Booster Club will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 3 in the large group instruction room at the high school. New members are welcome to attend.
