Krecko named NCAA Region III Athlete of Week

PLATTSBURGH — Clinton Community College men’s basketball player Mykelle Krecko, a sophomore from Peekskill, NY, was named the NJCAA Region III male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 14.

Krecko helped lead the Cougars to a 2-0 start to the semester, during that time frame, with wins over Hudson Valley and Columbia-Greene. In the wins he averaged 24.5 points per game on 22-of-29 shooting, 14.5 rebounds per game and 6.5 blocks per game.

“Mykelle’s improvement in the past season and a half has been tremendous,” Clinton coach Kevin Daugherty said. “He has developed into a very confident, well-rounded player who helps his team in many different ways.”
