Fish and game club to meet Sept. 18

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Federation of Fish and Game Clubs will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18 at the Conservation Building at the Fairgrounds.

PLATTSBURGH — Frank How recently recorded the first hole-in-one of his golfing career when he aced the seventh hole at The Barracks Golf Course. Al Schudde was the witness to the shot.

Turkey shoot set

for Sept. 23

WESTVILLE — There will be a turkey shoot On Sunday, Sept. 23 to benefit the Westville fire department. The shoot will take place at Firemen’s Park on route 37 in Westville. The event will start at 11:00 a.m. and will include bird shot, slug, and skeet events. Food will be available.

Monster Dash

5K and Goblin

Gallop Oct. 21

MORRISONVILLE — The Monster Dash 5K and Goblin Gallop Kids Fun Run will be held Sunday, October 21 at noon at the Medicine Horse Farm at 38 Lizzies Lane. The event will benefit the Medicine Horse Farm Therapeutic Programs. Those interested can pre-register before October 1, with the entry fee being $10 and $5 for childen under 12.

All runners/walkers will receive their “lives” in form of a flag belt that you must avoid being captured by Zombies throughout the course. There will be runner awards for first, second and third place in the men’s and women’s divisions. The runners’ times will be recorded and published.

Participants are encouraged to wear a costume. Please refrain from overly scary or gory costumes. Pre-register at www.medicinehorsefarm.org and click on events. You can find us on Facebook as well.

TGIF Seniors in need of two bowlers

PLATTSBURGH — The TGIF Senior League, which bowls at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays at North Bowl Lanes, is in need of two bowlers ages 50 and above. If interested, call Morna, at 643-8283, or North Bowl Lanes, at 561-1690.
